Särö-Sointu was a project by the youth of Särö.

Launched in August 2022, Särö-Sointu was a youth-led project where young people can make music and organize craft workshops and events. Särö-Sointu was aimed at trans and cisgender girls and women aged 13-19 in Helsinki, as well as other trans and gender-non-conforming young people.

The aim of the project was to involve young people in a variety of activities offered by Särö and to create something new using the ‘from young people for young people’  method!

The funding for Särö-Sointu ended in 2023 but the work Särö does with young people continues through for example the rap camp.
